DispLayover

Overlay a camera preview on your screen similar to Loom’s circle presenter feature:

Best used in conjunction with QuickTime for screen recording.

Usage

See the application menus (with shortcuts listed) for functions such as:

(CMD-#) Changing camera
(CMD-n) Changing overlay shape
(CMD-f) Changing mirroring
(CMD-e) Toggling animation

When focused, the title bar is present with action buttons and can be used for easily finding the corner for resizing the overlay.

Installing

The easiest way to install DispLayover is via the Apple App Store.

See the “Building” section if you want to build and run it on your own.

Building and Contributing

This is set up as an XCode AppKit SwiftUI project. It has not been tested for distribution portability, but if you want to build and run it yourself rather than getting it off the Apple App Store, then be our guest!

Currently the project is licensed under the “Commons Clause” license with Apache 2.0 as the sublicense. If you can think of a better license then please let us know why.
